Verbraeken

I am Peter Verbraeken. a product of the sixties, grew up in Commodore 64 times, graduated as a civil engineer in the eighties as a maths addict, fascinated by emerging technologies, very proud in those times of my first Motorola mobile phone.
But as a born philosopher I was primarily inspired by the human society, human interaction, the small human beings as You and Me.

I have been fortunate enough to find my passions in my career and to be able to achieve them.
The difficult moments strengthen me in what I do every day. For years, with patience and persuasion, proclaiming our ideas to all those who want to hear it. Meet and convince new people.

My wife, children, grandchild and friends are the reason why I do it.

I finished my studies as a graduated in car mechanics and did an extra formation in IT. I started my career as a car-expert and claims officer at Cofely Fleet to finish as Operations Supervisor in 2009. In 2009 I decided to orientate my career to the other side of servicing clients and I joined Axus under the branding CPM. From 2012 I was responsible for the maintenance department and from 2016 as well for the Insurance Department.

I’m very proces focused and very operational minded and I love to solve problems. I love basketball, squash and F1, however this last intrest is just passive… : -)

Devolder

Hi there! So happy to meet you on our website!
About me? Everyday I’m trying to connect the dots on the in- and outside. Call me the bridge between the clients and the colleagues. HR, Communication, Marketing and Finance: all these regular office tasks where no JAVA code is involved – that’s my cup of tea!

On the days when UBench is not on my list, I spent time with my 3 girls and lovely husband. Dancing (yes, some latin, rock’n roll and ballroom moves here!), creating ‘art’ with ceramics, traveling and photography are the things that boost the energy!

A couple of years ago I moved to the ‘big city’ of Antwerp but after 15 years my ‘Kempen’ roots called me back home.
Born and raised in Turnhout/Arendonk the “Kempen-feeling” never let me down & was always by my side.

You can make me happy with all kinds of food, musical instruments and spotify playlists.  And of course the nice job near home @ UBench, who needs more in life?! : -)

While I have a master in informatics, I have a broader interest so I got myself an additional degree master in biomedical imaging. I didn’t stay in the hospital environment but started as software developer and became product consultant after a few years. I managed to bring the internal interest of a company together with the customers needs and that is where my focus is on ever since.
Eager to find the greatest solution for all parties, I continuously improve my way of working, step by step, internally and externally.

I”m a technical enthousiast about networking, security, datacenters and server side Java. In my spare time I like to play the piano together with my daughter or cheer my son during some athletic events. The time left I try to do some video and photography editing or practice some flight simulation.

After graduating mathematics studies, I have joined the French Air Force to live my passion for IT and discover the world. After 20 years of duty, I have decided to face a new challenge as a civilian java developer: what more thrilling than to join the UBench team?

Always in a good mood and ready to help, I’m eager to learn and to share my experience and I believe that team work is the key of success.
My hobbies are home automation, football and badminton.

Vervecken

When I was younger, my life was dominated by sports, rock music and the local youth movement. The latter I grew out of, but both sports and music I’ve tried to keep up, with various degrees of success. Our band has never been near the charts, which I sadly ponder while going for a jog in the rain after dark.

My studies and professional life landed me into the wondrous world of IT. While at UBench my main goals are development and the paperless administration of databases, outside of work I aim to explore every last corner of the world.

After completing my studies in Communications and Software Development, I started my career as a .NET developer in the advertising industry. A few years later I switched to the government sector and my passion turned from .NET to Java. Having strong analytical skills and being a bit of a perfectionist, I have gained a lot of knowledge and experience over time and I’m happy to utilize and further expand this knowledge in the UBench team.

My other passions are travel and photography, so during my holidays I’m ususally off exploring foreign countries.

I graduated as civil engineer electronics and started my career as a software developer but later took on a broader technical role as solution architect and analyst in several international projects a.o. in the domain of telecommunications and digital television.
The role of broad functional expert is perfect for me. I’m a pragmatic problem solver with strong principle and values and a large sense of responsibility.

In my free time I play jazz guitar in the band “Sweet Tuesday”.

Rob

Pijnenborg

Hi, my name is Rob Pijnenborg and I like to work in team to achieve a common goal: “Working together with customers to build a stabile, solid platform which answers the needs of every user.”

In my spare time, I love spending quality time with my family and friends. I’m always up for a good game of table tennis or an exciting evening of watching football.

Raf

Raf

Not long after graduating my engineering studies, my keen interests in UX, software development and above all smartphones brought me to the exciting world of mobile development and software solutions. Ever since I’ve been creating mobile applications and exploring various interesting technologies and techniques along the way.

When I’m not behind a screen, you have a high chance of finding me on the volleyball or tennis court, having a good time together with my team or girlfriend.

With a contagious enthusiasm to learn and face any challenge, I’m becoming a proud member of the UBench International team. Here I strive for providing you with seamless, user-friendly and technical advanced mobile solutions that will put you in control of a fast-evolving world.

Stijn

Stijn

Hoskens

My name is Stijn Hoskens and I graduated two years ago as a civil engineer in computer science with a specialization in the field of Artificial Intelligence. For the past two years I’ve been working as a Java developer, also spending quite some time on the performance tuning aspect. I hope to deepen my knowledge in this regard, as well as to apply the different techniques of AI within UBench. Anyway, I see this job as a new challenge and I hope to make a difference.

In my spare time I like to be physically active. In summer I enjoy riding my racing bike, which I’ll trade for a mountainbike in winter time. I also enjoy running from time to time. Apart from that I also like spending time with my friends, doing all kinds of activities.

Tom

Vermetten

Exploring the world together with my son and girlfriend is the thing that keeps me going. Distance or direction doesn’t matter.
When I’m at home you probably find me outside with my powertools accompanied by my son in his ‘Bob the Builder’ outfit.
We can build everything!
Friends and sports are combined in Burgundian bike rides and the prizes that are rewarded at the
finish line are served cold and always ‘Triple’-style.

Sometimes I’m UBenching. And when I do I’m writing code that does not only runs smoothly but also looks so good that it will
make you smile when you look at it.

Hi there, I’m Robin and my main drive is satisfying customers.
Since 2007, I’ve been working as a Servicedesk employee. After having a cardiac arrest in 2014, I started working for the UBench Servicedesk, my colleagues gave me all the support and trust I needed to make me feel at home from the start.
I believe that personal contact with our customers makes all the difference, so don’t hesitate to contact us whenever you have a question or you just want to chat with us ;- )

In my free time I go out for a mountainbike trip, (try to) play a round of golf or check out the world.
